We hope there is never a need to do this but do understand it can happen. We moderate all clocks and will remove anything that breaches are content guidelines or causes offence. You can report any content you feel is offensive by emailing admin@adfinito.com with the details of the clock.
We work with a leading provider of hosting services and the data that we collect is stored by them in their European Data Centre.
When we create accounts it generates a query string that is the identifier for your account. We use this to populate the username field as we need to bring those details across to create the profile. You change it by going to your profile and just replacing the text and saving.
It can depend on the data that is provided. In relation to profile data we use this is most cases to allow you to log in to service and to associate your details with clocks that you publish.
If it is data associated with the clock we collect information regarding the actual set up such as time, destinations and tag data which is used for analysis. If the clock has been made private we are unable to see any of the data as we have made it so that data cannot be seen by anyone at all.
At this stage you cannot remove your account but if you email admin@adfinito.com with a request we will delete all your details.
When we create accounts pulling the date from Facebook it provides a query string that is the identifier for your account. We use this to populate the username field as we need to bring those details across to create the profile. You change it by going to your profile and just replacing the text and saving.
In your profile section there is a time zone field which is pre-set to where you are based when you set up your account. You can change your time zone at any time in your account settings through the website and this will affect the actual times shown in the clock creators. As the clocks are countdowns then you need to make an assessment of the right time it should be counting down to. Whatever it is you are interested in finishes at the same time it just depends what time in the world that is.
Clocks published to a crowd are only visible to members of that crowd and no one else, not even anyone in adfinito.
Course you can, we don’t really want you to, as it is what we are all about and having as many clocks live helps everyone see what time is running down and important things they might not want to miss. Saying all that, you put it there so if you want to remove it that is your choice. You can do this through your account and using the dashboard or clock sections.
Once you create a theme it is available for anyone to see and use.
We would like to think you would join, if that is the case then you would create an account and you would then be a member of that crowd. If you are already using adfinito (great stuff!!) then you will not be required to do anything.
Simply go the account creation page and enter your details or create an account using your Facebook account by simply selecting the button.
You will need to create an account if you wish to publish clocks of your own, follow particular clocks or see clocks shared to a private crowd.
The watchlist shows all the clocks that you are interested in and have selected from publicly available trending clocks. Crowd clocks are ones which have been shared with you for a particular crowd and are only visible to that group.
On the website there is a filter function shown on the left hand side of the browser which you can use to refine by a number of criteria. It displays when you move into the trending clocks area.
Really wonderful things we hope! Basically it means that the clock details get posted out across Facebook or Twitter using your feed. Anyone following your feeds will see the post from you coming from adfinito.
It helps to make it searchable, when there are thousands of them then it just means you can refine them quicker.
Similar to above the tags will help to make the clocks more searchable through the site. As more are added the ability to type in searches for keywords will be very important to get the clocks quickly.
You don’t as it is not mandatory, but it is always nice to point people in the direction of information that might be of help.
Yes, adfinito is available on IOS and android.
You can through Facebook and Twitter, however, the functionality is not there yet to send public clocks to a group of people. Basically we built this first model so that you can share a clock with everyone or a defined crowd. We are looking at how you can share a public clock with a defined group or a crowd at the same time so at least people are notified.
If you hover over a clock and it changes to show the description you will see the publishers’ name. Click that link and it will take you through to all their published clocks.
Not yet, it is coming
As accurate as the publisher who created them. If you do notice a problem please let us know using admin@adfinito.com.
Sometimes the time zones can play with you so just be careful if you are travelling or changing these as they can cause some confusion.
Unfortunately you are unable to do this.
We restrict the age so only people 13 and over can use adfinito. This is due to potential for some content to be unsuitable for children of a young age.
We all have one so might as well use it.
