adfinito has been designed, we hope, with you in mind. This means it should be pretty straight forward to use and do things you want to do. This can be uploading your own theme to publishing your clocks to a private or public group.
The information on this page should give you a good background to everything, however, if it does not give you enough get in touch and lets us know as we don’t want to fail in our quest to make things easy. Also you can take a look at a small compilation of FAQ’s that might help.
One thing to note though, if you really want to get the most out of adfinito then it makes sense to set up an account, this really does make it easy to select, create and share clocks. So don’t delay, get your account going today and tell the world you have done it.
Easy as any other site, in fact it should be easier without compromising on the essential security information. You might ask as well, what is all that information needed for it is only a clock!!! Well we use the information to start to help with making content as relevant as it can be. Let’s be fair everyone likes things to be relevant so if we can help then why not. We ask for age as we have set an entry age of 13 to use adfinito as we appreciate some content might be unsuitable for younger children.
You can create an account by entering your details or by connecting your Facebook account. Once you create an account you will then need to log in and it is a good idea to pop straight over to your profile details to ensure all your details are completed. The username is a good field to ensure has a good name as this is what gets shown on clocks you create.
The time zone is set on your profile based on your location when you created the account.
If there is any information associated with your profile that you need to change then it is really easy. Just head to that section in your account, make the changes and then save. Always a good idea to add a profile picture as well so it can be shown on your clocks.
The name we have given to what it does basically, the time which is shown counting down. You can upload your own image, choose from an existing style or create your own mash up with a theme. Just make sure you put the right time in.
With clocks we have a limit of 5MB for any uploaded image, we don’t support video for clocks just yet. You can see on the clock creator which fields you need to complete in order to submit. Best thing to do is have a go and experiment with what you can create as there are quite a few options for how you set up a clock.
Creating and publishing a clock can take you less than 1 minute. All it really takes is for you to have an idea of the clock and its image, add a timer and “BANG” your clock is live and everyone you want knows.
You have the choice to make a clock public or private, this is pretty simple meaning that if you want everyone to see it then you just make it public and it gets posted publicly for all to see and follow. Private clocks are where you select the crowd and it will go to just nominated people and not be available publically.
Any clock that is created privately will only be available to the creator and the people invited to view, absolutely no one else is able to view that clock.
In order to do this you need to create crowds with recipients included that you will then select when publishing a clock.
The name we have given to the way a reusable clock looks. It could be about a certain industry, retailer or event and can be different shapes, images and a lot more which you can choose from or create. If you want to create one then great and it is pretty straight forward and if you need any help just look at what is already there. It can be an image saved as a jpeg, png, gif or even an animated gif. We do not allow the themes or images to be movie files just yet and we have a maximum image size of 5MB which helps us to ensure maximum speed on the site.
One thing you need to know is that we moderate all public themes as we don’t really want certain things being published that could offend or infringe somebody else’s rights. This means that some themes we deem unsuitable or have been requested to be removed for confirmed infringements may not be approved or be removed.
It is a good idea to create crowds for people you would like to share private clocks with. In creating crowds you can invite existing adfinito members or non-members by entering their email addresses. If you publish a clock to a crowd then only they can see that clock providing they have set up an account.
Course you can, we don’t really want you to, as it is what we are all about and having as many themes and clocks live helps everyone see what time is running down and important things they might not want to miss. Saying all that, you put it there so if you want to remove it that is your choice. You can do this through your account.
At adfinito we use things we call "tracking links" which enable us to see what clocks get clicked on and where people go after clicking on the links. We do this by using cookies which you can find out more about in our cookie policy and this tracks browsing activity. What we do is embed are tracking links into anything that gets clicked on, and from there we follow what people do. The tracking is anonymous meaning we don’t capture people’s personal details just their click activity which helps us to improve the experience.
You may say, what difference does that make when I add a tag. It is really important as some of the categories we have will not be natural to everyone that is searching. The tags help us by allowing more variations of particular words that people may search for.
We have tried to reduce the amount of emails we send from adfinito and are building the service based on notifications. You will see a bell in the top right corner and this shows when you have received any new notification. Simply just click on the bell and it will take you to the notifications you have received.
We take the storing of your information with great importance because basically it is your information. Your information is stored on our servers which are hosted and maintained by a leading provider of hosting services. That means it is very well protected. We then use this information to help tailor the adfinito services based on information that can be shown to improve your experience.
We take the personal information of our members very seriously and ensure it is stored and protected securely. We also appreciate the privacy of what might be shared with private groups using this service so no one other than the invited people will be able to see that content.
